JONAH PRAYER TEAM
This is a prayer ministry that is initiated and based in the parish, to offer comforting prayer to other members of the parish. The team members are people like yourself, who sense a call or desire to use their spiritual gift of prayer, given to them by the Holy Spirit. They are approved by the Pastor and trained through the Archdiocese. Receiving spontaneous prayer can be very comforting. All prayer requests are confidential.
Prayer takes place after the 4 p.m., the 8:30 a.m. and the 10:15 a.m. Masses on the First and Third weekends of each month. Parishioners who go to other Masses may come earlier and have prayer before the Mass they are attending. LEGION OF MARY
The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic organization at the service of the Church, under ecclesiastical guidance. The Legion’s two purposes are the spiritual development of its members through the practice of the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, and advancing the reign of Jesus Christ through Our Blessed Mother. We meet to pray the rosary together and to receive and report on assignments of spiritual and social works, one of which is home visits. We meet in the Holy Infant Room every Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Do you know someone in need of a Prayer Shawl?
Do you know someone who is hurting from the loss of a loved one or a job? Or, Do you know someone suffering from illness or family stress?
Please consider giving this adult or child a PRAYER SHAWL, which has been made by caring parishioners. The person hopefully, will feel the prayers, blessings and love when wrapped in the Prayer Shawl. Each shawl is blessed by one of our priests and when possible, prayed over by the Joyful Hope Prayer group. The adult or child does not need to be a parishioner or even Catholic. There is no charge for these shawls, but donations of yarn or money are always welcome to help defray costs!
You can pick up a Prayer Shawl at the Parish Office, Monday-Friday, from 8am to 4pm (closed for lunch from noon-1pm). The shawls can also be found in the Adoration Chapel 24/7 or in the Usher’s Closet at church during the weekend Masses.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry would love to have more volunteers who like to crochet, knit or cut fleece to join us in making these Prayer Shawls.

SMALL CHURCH COMMUNITIES (SCC)
Small Church Communities offer a great way to get to know other people in the parish and also to grow spiritually. The parishioners who belong to a SCC gather together on a regular basis to connect life and faith. Using the Sunday readings or other spiritual material as their focus, they help one another bring the Gospel to life in their daily routines and relationships. Many groups have room for additional members, and new groups can be formed at any time.
