Peace and Justice Community
Mission Statement: A path to human dignity: The mission of our Peace and Justice Community is to eagerly work side by side with communities showing love and personal commitment to peace, justice, and transformation. Our faith directs us spiritually to act with social responsibility, prayerfully inspiring us to address injustice and inequality in our world. A path to human dignity: The Peace and Justice Community is based upon Catholic Social Teaching:
- Life and Dignity of the Human Person,
- Call to Family, Community, Participation,
- Rights and Responsibility for Human Decency and Dignity,
- Option for the Poor and Vulnerable,
- Dignity of Work and Rights of Workers,
- Solidarity,
- Care for God’s Creation and Environment.
We continuously educate ourselves and others with Just Faith programs, literature, and essays. We look to host speakers, film events, and potentially travel. We work to bring a Parish Day of Service along with periodic projects and announcements. We’re called to action! Come join us! All are welcome to join our community! Watch the bulletin for upcoming events.
