CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is a program led by volunteer adult parishioners. It is held during mass for children in grades 1-4. The children are called forward and blessed by the celebrant, then led to the Lower Cafeteria for their own Liturgy of the Word. The children return to Church during the Offertory procession.

The goal is to make the Gospel message and the celebration of the Liturgy of the Word relevant to the lives and experiences of the young children.

Parishioners are asked to volunteer to be a Leader or an Assistant during a Mass once a month. Leaders are provided with the information and materials to conduct the week’s Gospel lesson.

Program times: 4 p.m. on Saturday and 8:30 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and Noon Masses on Sundays during the school year.

You are invited to join the children to observe a session of “Children’s Liturgy” so you can consider whether to volunteer to join this important ministry of Holy Infant Parish.
