STS. PETER AND PAUL HOMELESS SHELTER DINNERS
Peter & Paul Homeless Shelter Dinners: Groups of 5 to 7 people from Holy Infant Parish will purchase, prepare, deliver and serve an evening meal to the 50 men at the homeless shelter in Soulard, two nights a month, on the Third Wednesday and the Fourth Thursday of every month. Your group may be a family group, neighborhood group, choir group, youth group or any group in which you work or play.
You form your group, pick your own menu — including a dessert — and you may spend as much as you want. Members of your group share the cost, which may be around $125. There is no stove at the shelter, so be prepared to take your food, warm and ready to serve. Leave from our church parking lot at 6 p.m. Arrive at 6:30 at the Shelter at 7th & Allen (1919 S. Seventh Street, St. Louis, MO 63104). Carry in the food and be ready to serve the meal by 7 p.m. “Seconds” are offered around 7:30 p.m. and you can usually leave by 8:15 p.m. The Shelter provides all the plates, utensils etc. They provide coffee but if you want to bring lemonade or some other cool drink, feel free to do so. The management at the shelter is very helpful and appreciative. You will have a good feeling when you leave.
