Fr. Burkemper’s Farewell Mass July 26 at Noon

Dear Holy Infant Parishioners,

Last Monday I received a phone call from Archbishop Carlson asking me to take a new assignment as pastor of St. Bridget of Kildare in Pacific, effective July 28th.

I have greatly enjoyed my time here at Holy Infant and feel that I have grown as a Catholic and as a priest. I will always recall these years as a time that I was blessed to be assigned to a wonderful parish, with great parishioners, a lively school, a dedicated staff, and tremendous brother priests.

I am being replaced by Fr. Christopher Smith, who was just ordained a few weeks ago. He is very excited to be coming to Holy Infant, and I know that his time here will be blessed, too.

Since my move is not effective for nearly two months, we will have plenty of time to say “Goodbye” (even in the midst of this continued pandemic!).

I thank you for your prayers and support these past three years and ask that you continue to pray for me as I transition to this next phase of priestly ministry.

In Christ,

Fr. Burkemper
